what have u payed to have a new clutch fitted, my clutch went on sunday and iv put it in to my landy man and he wants £330 job done. i think is an ok price, i trust the fella, done work before and all fine... but a pal said i should be more like £250,

is £330 to much or bout right ??????????????????????????

Mates just got a price of £180 - including B&B Clutch for a 300, but he's got to get it done before friday morning cos the guy who's going to do it for him gets sent down for 7 years...
Normal price should be somewhere between myy price and yours!

I would say about £300 for a 3-part clutch and a new HD release arm. You have to remember that there is a little more work with a Discovery if you remove the box as the centre console has to come out. Not like a Defender floor which takes about 15 minutes with air tools :D

iv spent today 370:eek: = clutch kit, weld clutch fork, longer bolts in gearbox mount, second hand alternator, alternator belt and fan belt. sounds loads better now no gear box rattles or anything:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D happy for now lol

i paid 380 quids for my clutch did not have garage or equipment but now have a big garage. and tools it is about 65n to 70 quids for cluth kit and hire a crane and u can do it yerself quite easy. if u have mate who helps u forget crane use jack with block of wood carefully drag back the gearboc on jack etc big jack etc otherwise use crane and go inside the landy and chain round the gearboc and u can do it single handed.
