Just refitted my alternator on my Discovery 300TDI, for the second time, first time the tacho didn't move and the battery light remained on, now the battery light remains on. What have missed?
What have i done?

Did you reconnect the wire properly?
Sounds like you are having memory issues with your wiring, I have a disco 300, will look in the morning and let you know the wiring positions.
There are only three wires, and three positions.
Looking at it from the rear and the bottom left to right, thick live, thin brown, and thin white. One to each of the terminals.
If it still fails to work then if its not one of the wires that's broken somewhere, alternator, if it were ok before.
What exactly was your problem initially.
