Hello there,
So I bought a 1984 Land Rover 110 2 door Pickup much to the bemusement of family and friends who all think I should have gotten a "nice VW Golf" or "something sensible." Needless to say each and every one of them now think it's the greatest thing ever (especially my father who has used its load bearing capabilities on more than one occasion already).
I think it was originally a Hardtop that has been chopped and changed a few times. It's seen more paint jobs than I've had hot dinners and they are beginning to crack and show through now. Chassis is in good nick, bulkhead and doors will likely need repair/replace along with seals. The original normally aspirated engine has been changed out for a 300 tdi with a blanked off EGR.
I bought it as a running repair, and intend on converting it into an overland expedition vehicle.
I've gotten loads of info off here already and can't wait to get stuck in.
