Hi neilly did wonder about the winch tray that's one reason why I put some pictures up before painting to get any suggestions on adding any strengtheners, have looked at other bumpers and some don't have any and some do but I think I going to add some. Yes it attaches as the original bumper does via 4 bolts through the chassis and it also bolts through the chassis side to side if you know what I mean so 6 bolts hold it. No you couldn't use a hi lift it covers over the holes in the chassis. will add some strengtheners to the tray and post some more pics up.
cheers Ian

cheers greyhair , yep will do will be a couple of weeks just trying to finish fitting the new carpet and soundproofing so I can order my front re-trim kit and 2nd row seats and get the interior finished then mot and enjoy playing:D

Hi all, decided a while ago to have a go at making my own winch bumper as I couldn't find one I liked and I'm a welder fabricator by trade so thought it would be cheaper as well. So got the 4mm steel plate from work for a bout £35, and now I've finished thought I'd put some pics up for everyone to have a look at it.

I just don't have the time mate would certainly give you any help on how I did it if you wanted to have a go yourself, have just spent 2 years stripping and rebuilding my 110 200tdi am ordering my seats this week hopefully and then I'm going to enjoy it for a bit then start the 300tdi 90 I've somehow acquired off my stepson.

Thats very nice!!!

Northampton Offroad do them for about £170 (for a rear one, not sure about front but be similar) which isn't too bad really.
