Hi just wondering what people think.

I had my defender resprayed about 5 months ago and it looked so good i was so happy with it but in the past month or so all the body work has started bubbling underneath the paint on the rear door, underneath the door and down both sides of my landy along the tops. When i had it resprayed i knew the back door was abit of a mess but it was thought it'd be ok because they got such a good finish on it.

I totally understand they corrode because of the reaction between the body work and paint and everything else but i didnt expect it to be so soon :(

I'm wondering if my landy would be better off if i maybe had it vinyl wrapped? Would it help protect it abit more? Im not too bothered about messy paint work its a defender its only to be expected, im more bothered about the sections that cant replace parts on unlike replacing the rear door etc i want to try and look after it as best as i can, its my pride and joy :D

Would vinyl wrap be a good idea or do i just stick to trying keeping on top of the paint work

Thank you

Oh ok thank you. Think i'm going to have to replace rear door anyway i'm just going to have to not let the sides get too bad. Best learn how to spray aye :)

once ali has started to corrode its hard to stop, you can only be certain by cutting corrosion out or replacing panel, and ensuring its painted well both sides, its not reaction of paint but moisture and oxygen

Okidoki thank you. I'll just have to keep a check on it. Most other things ive managed to sort just thought i'd be worth an ask. Wouldn't be without it now :) Thank you

new back door is not a bad price ,about 90 pound from padds i think ,if u change side doors think about series doors i no there two piece and u cant hang out window to see behind but u can get a new set for just under 300 pound ,not bad i recon ,other option is to replace your door skins but thats a price and not very easy ,
good look anyways

Aww bril thank you. Its only a 90 my front doors are in real good condition its the back one that's the problem and above the side windows. Thank you for your help that's alot better than i was expecting. Sorry to sound daft but where's Padds?

6 months and your getting bubbling?? Id personally blame the guy who done the prep work for your paint job, he should of easily been able to tell what areas needed sorting before going anywhere near it with a spray gun... unless you asked for the cheapest option that is??
You should easily get 2, 3 years out of a good spray job if done right, the red coupe in my avatar was resprayed 6 yrs ago now and only now is she starting to bubble in places...
