What do we think of this engine noise?

Hi all, my Series is fitted with a 12J Diesel engine.
I just wanted to post this video to see if the noises its making are normal for a 2.5NA since it is incredibly loud!
It pulls away well and doesn't seem down on power but there does seem to be some sort of flow coming OUT of the air filter

Looking forward to what you all think

I have not, is it possible to turn the engine over with the injectors in?

sounds like the exhaust is blowing. And tappety as above.

Yes big socket on crank nut

Thanks both!
I’ve ordered the bits to adjust the tappets and will check if there’s any blowing, if the intake/exhaust gasket has gone could this be causing the exhaust through the air filter?

Running on two?
Noise/blowing out of the air filter points to valve gear issue of some sort, or head gasket blown between two cylinders.

Would I expect a decrease in performance with a valve issue? That’s the weirdest part, it seems to be running fine and making good power, just very loud!

Yes and no, but if head gasket has blown between cylinders then the piston on compression could be pushing gases into the cylinder that is charging hence the noise out of the air filter as the charging cylinder has its valve/s open to let the fresh air in.
Have seen trucks with cracked piston rings and driver not reported any faults at all.
