What did you do with your Range Rover today

Well, I didn't do anything with it, I sold it in May 22, I do miss it though, but the finances were not up to it.
I sold it to Matt at High Peak Autos, he loves these cars, mine was 20 years old, so I wasn't expecting a great price.
He did tell a few porkies on his video tho', the rear lower tailgate struts were fine, I had cleaned and lubed them 2 days before. The folding mirrors did work, anyway it transpires you can't get insurance now, my last quote, before I sold was £500.
Here is the link to the video Matt did of my car:

That’s brilliant 👍

Fixed the broken inner door handle cable.. then removed the glove box and looked over into the depths of the dash towards the left hand blend motor ....and thought....

errrr ......

no....

not today 🤭
Not a bad job to do but, I wasn't looking forward to doing the right hand one luckily, I never had to.

The right hand is a touch easy and you can see from above but the left for me is more daunting with the glovebox in its entirety. I'll cut the rear air feed tube below the level of the blend motor and gain access that way I think. Then Gaffa tape the tube back together along with some other leaky air vent pipes 👍

I got tired of the 'cloak of invisibility' letting other drivers think the road was clear and they were fine to pull out / across the front of me, so I made a Clarkson-esque upgrade....

It can be made to strobe, too... ;)

I removed the glovebox and the airbag to give more light on the subject, the worst bit for me, was adjusting the glovebox lid
after re-fitting to get it to latch properly both sides but, got there in the end but, I don't recall cutting any ducting.

It's the ducting that goes to the rear vents. I'm not really wanting to remove the centre console as the plastics break every bloody time no matter how carefully I go😵‍💫

Yeah, I've had that problem too, which reminds me, the piece of trim above the glovebox is a bugger to get off as well.

I see the battery is on charge!:)
That's more habit than need TBH, SDD and pretty much all other dealer diagnostics get all panicky if the battery voltage is below 12.5V - plus it's no harm to maintain the charge level whilst working on a vehicle, it's surprising how depleted a starter battery can get with doors opening & closing etc.

Yep, I do the same when working on the P38's

Habit? Or nervous twitch!?

Correct oil for the 4.4tdv8 is C1/low saps because of the dpf
If mine has been gutted, should i be using the A5/B5 as stated for the same engine without dpf fitted?
C1 only specified so it doesn't kill the dpf, but if it was superior then it would be specified for non dpf too?

Fitted new thermostat to Green P38 & started filling coolant system with water to flush & then will drain & refill properly.

Then discovered that Hankook battery I had charged yesterday is knackered although it had enough juice to tell me the car was in Key Code Lockout & do all the window beeps !!

Gave spare battery a 30min charge while waiting, but got Keycode Lockout again as expected. Another 30 Mins later entered EKA using Nanocom, but both batteries haven't got enough grunt to fire the starter.

New MF31-1000 ordered.

Yesterday uncovered him, took out the charger and dehumidifier, checked tyres and washer fluid.
Then we drove 10 miles to the garden centre, getting an eas fault. Pressure switch not changing, always on but cleared by nanocom.
Then 240 miles to and about Kent in mixed weather and traffic. Faultless and comfortable.
Then today loaded with stuff, up to Watford to see relatives, tomorrow a funeral, head home Tuesday. Guage currently showing about 1/6 tank left after 316 miles.
And weirdly after all this time, yesterday and today his speedo was spot on to the GPS one all the way.
