My issues might have been the cheapy springs, britpart, but thought they were Dunlop in britpart boxes. The airline connection at its lowest point was level with the top of the chassis rail, so it was difficult to push the tube in without also pushing dust and dirt into the connection. Adding lube to the tube just meant muck stuck to it. I used some waxy paper lay on the top of the chassis rail, lubed the tube and some locking forceps got it in clean eventually. Was going to do the other side today but it's chucking it down here and for the rest of the day. Tomorrow is looking good weather wise though.

The only time we hear ours is when we drive into the big town to "Metro" after the shop when starting because of the heat sink under the bonnet the fan is on straight away Roaring away. But only lasts a minute. Then its back to the V8 sound track rather than the jet engine

Pipes go in easier if you chamfer the ends down with a pencil sharpener or similar

Maybe the next one will keep the air springs. I won’t be having those allmakes boingy things and still got a lot of EAS junk in the shed.

Oh it will fit, the 630 is on standardish suspension, but as the other P38 is now the spares car I have plenty available, so feel free to use it

New fog lamps fitted. Old ones had got all misted up inside. Decided to replace and I’m pleased I did as the originals (they were genuine LR so assume original) were very worn out. As expected after 17 years I guess! Was a bugger to prize the bezels off. Thought I was being weak taking so long to get the first one off…felt better when it took two passing mechanic pals to take the other off! They’ve earned their pint now at least.

The floor is the best place for that stuff.
I don’t understand the cup holders in the L322 either. Standard size can of pop, bottle of water or even a keep-warm mug just rattle around in them. Has anyone found a bottle or cup that actually fits snugly in there? (The ‘middle circle’ bit is good for a big pot of chewing gum at least?! Though I’d be a big price that Land Rover did that on purpose…)
