I considered an Audi a8 allroad before i got the l322, that's insanely big
Had a mk4 mondeo estate and that was huge in the back, then got a v70, 09 plate so built on a similar platform and surprisingly a lot smaller, windows bigger so less height to below load cover and boot didn’t open as high so if you didn’t think you would take a chunk of your head out on the latch, and the rear seat bases were too short, if I had another estate I’d go back to mondeo not Volvo.

Pulled the old heat exchange valve, full of rusty water and rubber seals were swollen. I might rebuild it and keep as spare

The last real Volvo was the 850, they are just another Chinese product now. I could sleep full length in the back of the 960.

Today I finally managed to attack some issues she developed a while ago. Did a compression test, not following procedure so that will be repeated tomorrow, changed spark plug and ignition leads and annoyed the neighbor with engine noise! Also, I realized the new exhaust came without fitting bits and pieces, so thats gonna be fun!

wright let's get some facts on the dance floor here

firstly a rrs is a D3 with lipstick - a quote involving a pig in palastine comes to mind

a rr is by default referred to as a fatty

a diesel fatty is made for people from liverpool - even your indian prime minister doesn't want a rail link to those untouchables

I say this while getting into my D1 300 tdi

Got him out from under his cover, gave him a full charge and emptied the dehumidifier yesterday. Today took him to the garden centre cafe, about 27 miles of faultless waft.
When we came out he ran roughly for a minute, stalled and wouldn't restart. Lack of anything from the Schrader on the fuel rail suggests fuel pump failure, so he came home on a truck.
Which proceeded to have a score draw with the landlord's drive wall. So we have masonry repairs to do too.
And because the truck couldn't get up the drive my wife's 25 year old 210k miles Ka had to haul him up the drive, possibly burning the clutch badly in the process. There was a lot of stink and smoke, but she did it.

ordered set of front suspension arms, with the intention of changing them today, ended up just doing the curved, rear lower front arm, as the bush had gone so wheel could wobble from side to side, absolutely pain, only just enough room to remove bolt due to body of car, but did come undone east. Arm wouldn’t free from the ball joint taper so after half a hour with big hammers I removed ball joint, hoping bolts came out, thankfully they did, used plenty of plusgas and ATF, then cold chisel the ball joint out, that got about half way and just broke free, cleaned hole, tons of copper grease and everything back together, next day I’m free and weather is fine I’ll crack on with other arms as the big clunk has gone but still something there on speed bumps.
