One of the main reasons I fitted a proper SS system to mine
Much tiidier and how they should of left the factory in my opinion,

Book error on the HEVAC display. If it's the blend motors, that's a dashboard-out job, methinks.

Very much neater and i do prefer the straight out pipes mine are the curved hidden ones, i am sure a saw some after market extenstions that took them down and out straight in chrome

Sure.... it doesn't HAVE to be the blend motors..... but you know.... it COULD also be.
Heh. Actually there's a page I remember where the guy tells you how to rebuild the blend motors.... and you can use JST plugs on the leads so that you can remove the individual blend motors without having to remove all 3 of them, and therefore the dash.
The blend motor repair how-to is at https://www.stockholmviews.com/p38/index.html#blend and he has some other tips as well..... I've done it and it works.
These are the connectors I used on my blend motors which allow them to be unplugged and removed individually. I think they've been in there 6 years or so now, so I reckon they're fine for the job. Amazon product

I replaced a single blend motor no problem.
Also tried to repair the old one but i think the actual motor was no good ie pulling the wrong amp count

Ooft, that's a nice zorst. Have to get myself one of them when my current one starts to fall apart. Wonder if they do turbo back. My cat is rattling so it already needs replacing ;DDitto

Sure.... you can do it with a bit of determination and gymnastics... but installing plugs on the leads helps. A lot.
The motors are pretty generic. I can't remember which they are now, exactly... but I think they're the same as those used in those Tamiya slot racers.
Anybody?
Either way, they're not some super proprietary motor. You should be able to buy them.

My Cats rattle too I have a set of 200cel sports cats to fit when the weather warms up, that'll change the exhaust note again...
With the Janspeed SS exhaust with a centre muffler she is still very refined but has a very pleasant growl when hot and given the boot, burbles nice at idle too..
But not that horrible raspy racket the straight pipe P38s make..

some like the sound but personally I couldn't live with that racket!
The DSE I imagine would sound quite good with a stainless system or a muffler delete
