well went to pick up snow chains could refuse as they cost 20 quid plus fuel. so £40 all in. when i got home i got out of the rangey went to lock it with the fob and nothing. so tryed over and over nothing. tryed the holding the buttons thing still nothing so im sat thinking all night what is the problem battery ok ive tryed my other key same thing nothing its doing ny nut in locked with key for now. just need snow now to buck me up a bit ;)

Alas today was a day for tears of frustration :(

New front disks and pads and a replacement rear ABS sensor arrived from Craddocks. When I ordered the sensor it said make sure you order a sleeve as well. On opening the package I find the sensor came with a sleeve (and grease) so I now have a spare ABS sensor sleeve. A minor issue really
Fun came when I went out to start fitting them... Started at 10:00 - 4 HOURS later I had to admit defeat as I could not remove 1 single wheel nut. The nuts are a different size to the wheel brace in the boots so I was using a socket and a torque wrench. Torque wrench was going to max deflection of 130 lb/ft and not one nut gave no matter what I tried.
Rang my local tyre guys up to see if I could pop down and get them to use their air guns on the nuts as usually early afternoon they are quiet. Typically today they were snowed under with taxi drivers. So that ended that plan for the day. I will try again tomorrow!!

get a new wheel brace and a small scaffold pole. you will need one if like you say you havent one the right size.mine were the same but it got them off. i couldnt get them off without a long bar. good look

Phil, did you try resyncing the key?

Whenever I buy a car I undo all the wheel nuts and torque up to what it says in the manual. Had a Passat where a stud sheared off it was so tight. Ended up replacing the whole hub. That was a PITA day. Bl**dy airguns!

I have the same problem with wheel nuts, 27mm should fit but they are all swollen to different degrees.
New set from paddocks for £40ish.
Will cut the covers off the old ones and use them until wheels are redone.

Please note Mod's, seems like we have lost a lot of members lately, opened up the other morning and not a single new post !!

Not sure what can be done. Roy spent a lot of time fiddling to get it as usable as possible with all devices and browsers but I think the main problem was those of us that were testing before launching just happen to not use our phones in landscape so it wasn't noticed.

Life would be far simpler if everyone had the same setup and browsers. ....

And everyone drove Series :)

you mean put in ignition and press unlock and then lock 3 times and then put it back in ignition ive tryed that. cant understand why the fob should stop working unless ive pressed it while its been in my pocket and it done something to it. ill try the ignition thing again. i might not be doing it quite right. thanks for reply Grrrrrrr

Hay it works i did the ignition reset thing again while im out and its done it so happy again glad its raining i love sitting in the beasty when its raining. Just sat waiting for daughter. Ive took her to a job interview. Just waiting and watching the rain run off the bonnet. Its a hard life.

Ha ha, if everyone drove a Series we wouldn't have this forum on Landyzone

Took the P38 to my local tyre fitters today - after nearly and hours work - which involved a lot of swearing and cursing the name of whoever did them up - the managed to free off all the wheel nuts for me. Best part was - there no charge as I am a regular customer. Now to wait for another rain free day to swap the disks and pads and replace the AB sensor. :)
Wheel nut on the vehicle are 22mm Wheel brace and normal P38 nuts seem to be a bit bigger - maybe 26mm??

I have to carry three different sockets for mine, must get around to change them.

Weird, quote has gone missing! THis is directed at Phil!

Different for different years, I think. It is in the manual.

On mine I think I press unlock and then unlock with the key. Or press lock and then lock with the key. Cannot quite remember. I do remember it doesn't always work first time.

thanks Grrrrrr it did take a few attempts but i got here. I think my fingers are a bit big so i dont know if i had pressed the lock button enough. but sorted it.thanks for the help. im just watching utube LR films and shows, im going to show the wife what happens on the meetings cause she hasnt been on one any.

Never use landscape, just potrait. Issue seems to be when there is a large advert at the bottom. You start typing but then the advert changes and the keyboard either freezes or hangs. Clicking back in the box sometimes gets the keyboard back but if theadvert changes you have to start over. I tried a few keyboards in case it was the standard app but it made no difference. Not so bad on the phone (although that is annoying) but I have an Android tablet with slower processors and it just cannot keep up. Maybe leaving adverts static longer would help, say long enough for a fat fingered typist to type a reply.
