What did you do with your Range Rover today

I changed everything, I had a problem with the brake anyway and the part (Brake booster/ABS modulator unit) had the "plastic washer" that break after sometimes... I am now running with a Year 2008 model that must normally have a metallic washer instead of the good old plastic one.

Anyway never joke with brakes, have any doubts ask or go to a garage, I can tell you that I was really glad that I spent a lot of money on the Brake booster/ABS modulator unit last week end when a stupid A Hole in his mini van decided to overtake someone and almost landed on my front bumper... Glad my brakes when in top condition otherwise I would not be able to right this today!
 
Washed car for the first time, should have changed and siliconed the pollen filters first, see phote. Luckely left side is dry - O-rings not leaking, yet.
Engine bay not too bad for a 12 year old.

Tried to grease prop but the f*** grease gun brand new must have a leaking seal, took forever to get it to give a little and every time I went "under" the F** stopped working and it looks like its spewing grease out the back, gave up, looking at it later.

my wife made me buy a dog guard and nudge bar so while she was in the mood to spend on my range i got a new full interior from eblag for £60 just need to go to kendel for it :D it would have been rude not to :tea:

If your brakes didn't work your only problem would have been what colour flowers to send the mini driver's partner.
 
arranged the insurance for another year. spoke to several companies and actually found that Flux gave me the best price for the cover i wanted. and threw a few extras in at the same time :)

if you call them, ask for Ryan, top bloke.
 
Changed thermostat and now have needle in the middle, turned out old one worked but opened too soon @ around 70-75 C.
And me there was sure the stat worked, well it did, sort off:eek: Nice new sensor I have thanks to not having the diagnostic at that time.

Pollen filters changed and siliconed, no more water inside.

Also found I may have struck luck with the misbehaving HEVAC, seems like it's only left blend motor at fault and I can see you can buy an individual one like this:Range Rover P38 Heater Blend Motor STC3259A Island 4x4 - Specialists in Land Rover and Range Rover Parts and accessories for all models. UK and worldwide mail order.

Any advise if it's any good?
 
Pollen filters?? I have noticed that there may be two black sponge type filters behind the grill on the scuttle panel either side of the passenger wiper arm. Are these pollen filters and are they easy to get/ replace?

No, pollen filters are under the wee lid either side, great cause for water in your car if they are old and seal leaking, bit of silicone when putting the lid on sort that.

The filter you are talking about isn't that easy to change, need the wiper arms and some of the windshield trim off.
 
Range Rover P38 New Genuine Plenum Intake Foam Air Filter BTR9548, and dont make same mistake I did and order 2, its all one piece.

Find that one quit flimsy and not covering very well, buy some aquarium filter or like and cut it out to fit, cheaper too. Tip someone gave on here a while back, cannot remember who though.
 
Overhauled the EAS block and compressor and no more sinking feeling overnight.
All O-rings changed, new piston seal and liner - running sweet:)

No wonder the compressor was working a lot, see photos.

Just put a load of **** down as to what I did with my air con.... didnt click on pots quick reply.... not doing it again lol
 
I took her for a weekly blast. It is nice saving a fortune on fuel each month, but I miss the luxury. Not nice having a company car forced upon you. I could've turned down the offer, but at the same time know it'd put me on the wrong side of the MD.
