Seal the covers with a good load of silicone, the covers bend in the middle so it needs to be a good dollop.

Also put a blob on the threads and heads of the screws that run the length of the scuttle ;)
Does that really help given the huge fresh air intake will let large amounts thru and drains to the same place?
Do i need to take the inner wings off to see the drain tube? There's nothing obvious at all near the mud flap

There are 2 drain holes in the scuttle, one at each end, water just flows through them ;)

No pipes, atleast from what I can recall when I cleaned the crap out of the scuttle area!! ;)

Haha ok, sorry I'm thick!! I'm sure someone said to unblock them o_O
Assume it's more than a 5 minute job to get all that plastic off and hopefully not break stuff :(

You need a good screwdriver and some patience! ;)

It's just a jigsaw, quite an easy one ;)

Putting the bonnet in service mode helps

Kermit, Has yours also got the central scuttle panel guaze filter fitted to it??? this can be classed as a service item. On my Westminster ( Now dead and gone ) LOL, it was all manky so i replaced it with a new one. I had to remove all the wiper arms etc and lower screen trim to be able to remove it all and then fit a new central filter. I have noticed a lot are missing on P38's and maybe because its a nauze to change BUT it is supposed to be there to prevent rain/water ingress and dirt etc which can cause the blocking up syndrome. Its all preventative maintanance buddy and it looks better with it in place too.
Regards,

If it lets air thru I'm sure it lets water thru too!! But yes, i have some fish tank filter stuff for that purpose as the foam rots

I cant find the original it was a long time ago, but it has to be trimmed to size, I just outlined the old one with a pair of scissors
