Fixed a puncture.

On moving the car though there was an almighty thump from the rear. Reversing the rear seats actually moved. Same thump in forward and reverse as soon as I started moving. ****. Asked the missus if she had heard or felt anything when she drove it: no. So just happened. Might be lucky. Put car on stands and got underneath expecting broken UJ or yoke. Nope, it was fine. Handbrake shoes? No, they were fine. Transfer box seemed to turn with no issues. Backlash on diff was a bit looser than new but bot that bad. Checked half-shafts into hubs and they're all fine. Radius arms and all other bushes fine. Shocks and air-springs fine. Gave up, dropped her back to the ground and opened the boot. There was a ****ing large gas cylinder in there, free to roam that full has a fair bit of weight and had been thumping into the boot and rear seats. Took it out and all fixed. FFS.
A while back I had a rattle from the back of the Alfa that I just couldn't track down. After weeks I had to take the spare out for some reason and found three half inch sockets in the well.

Doh! Helps if i actually look!! It was right there.
4 pin plug, there's a black and what looks like pink/orange which shows 12v. Solar panel will be plugged in soon!!
Gah! It's too cold to think about splicing wires!! Fingers don't want to work, will have to leave it for another day! I do need to get the solar connected though.. and figure out why the battery drains so quick.

Which panel and controller did you get? Datatek posted a link a while back but I haven't got round to doing it yet.

Repaired the switch pack, now all happy again!

Also cut out the cigarette lighter light as it was causing too many issues with the dash illumination - need to replace it with a proper oem one in due course.

Managed to now get the rest of the centre console back together again after having to redismantle to fish out the gear selector connector from under the carpet.

All coming back together now!

I've got three days off next week. So far the list of stuff to do is:
New water pump
New stat
New alternator
New belts
New expansion tank
New washer bottle
Reset idle to 750 rpm
New tailgate straps
Various interior bulbs.
Have a look at heated seats.
Remove crappy number plate nudge bar thingy.

Should have taken the whole week off.
