Pretty sure that sounds very different, cheers for the link! Yes it does go away, I'll have to record it again and this time rev it, it seems easier to hear played back than over all the engine noise
Before we all start stripping engines down and rebuilding, a look under the rocker covers for a broken tappet or rocker would be the cheapest and first check. Don't be too quick to start calling slipped liners without ruling everything else out first..

Been thinking about changing old steering damper for a while. MOT due in September and tester is always happy when he sees new bits added. Had a look on Amazon and got a Terrafirma for £33 including delivery, actually had a £20 gift voucher so only cost me £13. Didn't think that was too bad at all

Don't forget to put the old one in the shed, you never know when it'll come in handy.

Next to all those bits of trim you never put back and the screws that you keep in a spray can lid, that you took off last time, but can't remember where they went back. (But it didn't matter at the time coz those other two screws you did manage to do up would hold it in anyway, and you can always put em back in next time can't you...)

Thought I'd do something pretty for a change to Orville. Sick of struggling with serious bits, so pointlessly painted the exhaust heat shield. Plus done my back in so heaviest thing I could lift was a spray can.
