After getting both e36s 330 converted. Got finished about 5am. Both made their drift events and are doing well.
Got a seriously cheep e53 x5 3.0d with a funny gearbox R-N-D it just goes forwards.
But it runs so il harvest parts wise whatever's shared with the l322 and keep them aside.
Also bought a v70 volvo 2.4 petrol I don't know why or what for but I did.

That stupid cupholder that pops from cubby box area by the passenger seat wont stay in. How annoying and what an eyesore it is.

Good car that v70. A cousin had one and it was a great workhorse.

I bought the wife a 2003 320d a year ago 150bhp diesel. Just because it was a rare colour and all my 330s need work.
Put a hybrid turbo on it. 335d injectors. Big intercooler and some mapping. Over 250bhp and 400ibft.
But with 180k miles on it now its due a clutch soon so I think she'll be getting put in the Volvo till I do it

Who needs that amount of power on todays crowded roads?

I'd pull the gearbox 'oot the X5 and rebuild it ready for if yours goes POP! ;)
X5 box has gone pop or about too.
As far as iv been led to belive the x5 has a different rear casing as it has a transfer box without low box.
I know the chance with the box on this 140475 now it had one at 89k. So hopefully a box service and fluid buys me some time. If it makes 150k I may just have to order one with a t/c and an oil cooler just to have sat ready

Oil breather changed to the vortex style. 20200308_221616.jpg

Thermostat done.
Running between 85 and 88° happily.
But.....20200309_153214.jpg

Then did a dial sweep in the test functions and found the gauge is sticky.
Few taps on the top of the dash 20200309_153221.jpg

I'm taking a wild guess the pixel issue has been done and they've pushed the needle too far on and its hitting the paper back lay.
