What... "up there"... in Buckinghamshire? That's WAAAAAY "dahn sahf". They don't know what salt on roads is "up there" in the tropics...

Henry is somewhat further north.

I think they have gritted the roads twice this winter and I think that was because they wanted the overtime more than anything else. We've had a few frosty mornings and that is it. Once saw some sleet.

Sleet...as in "blink and you've missed it" sleet? I followed a couple of gritters a couple of of nights ago and it didn't even drop below 2°C! They must've been after the overtime bonus too! That was on the Yorkshire Wolds. I remembered the days when we used to have PROPER, cold and long winters in this country and not that long ago really.

Americans for some reason make crap transmissions, don't know why that is, and seems they make thin panels as well, and don't tend to treat them for rust, same as break pipes
It's called "planned obsolescence" to encourage the purchase of a new car every 3 years:rolleyes: Another Yank invention we could do without.

Thought the Japanese came up with that bit of ****tery?

FFS. I haven't scraped the crap off mine to see.
No, it was the yanks, there was a very interesting TV program about it some time ago
Do not whatever you do scrape the crap off your brake pipes, that will be all that is stopping them leaking:rolleyes:
My mate had a brake pipe let go on the MOT when they did the brake test on his L322 and I had the one that goes across the back axle on my P38 let go when I did an emergency stop:eek:
