My personal opinion, i wouldn't be surprised if BP calipers were the same as OEM
It's a critical safety part so they won't be selling something that fails after a week

I have Britpart callipers on the front brakes of both my P38's one set has been in use for 4 years or more with no problem, just changed the pads and the calliper pistons look like new.
They are indistinguishable from OEM to look at.

Land rover really are taking the piss with so called genuine parts. Only an idiot would pay their prices.
Mintex calipers at eurocarparts £125 each, even with the discount still over 70 quid each.
I shudder to think what LR charge for them.
I think it'll be Britpart ones!

Same here. Maybe longer.

The Britpart ones are square, my original Land Rover ones had the corners clipped off. The difference was important when i had the 16" 7J rims as with Britpart calipers there was almost no clearance and any balance weights got knocked off.

Cleaned out the black plastic round valve thing coming out the cam cover, it was seized with crap. Think the oil flush has worked out old crud and it’s making its way around as it was dirtier then when I first had vehicle in it’s neglected state. The o-ring on the plastic insert going into the cover also seems loose fit due to age. Also think I need a new sump plug/washer due to a drip so another oil change in not too distant future

I had the same and replaced with one off a scrapper. I had it cable-tied in place for a long while.

Did you take off the cam cover and clean out the metal mesh in the top in the past?

Stayed out away from home drive, and still started in the morning :) we went into town and went on the lash last night:)

Picked up some friends from airport and drove them to his home.

His partner said (her first time in a RR) this is nice.
Last year he got a Merc, he was told before when he was talking about changing what he needed:)

Oh well home safe now:D
