as per the johnny cash song, someone will be driving around in a 94 95 96 97 98 99 2000 01 02 P38 range rover
Strange thing is we were only talking about why mine has an extra badge other week! I tried get it off it wouldn’t budge an iota. They got the green bit off but now I have a scabby black disc there instead :(

No doubt they will be back, if I disappear I’m doing a stretch  how long is a sentence for defending your RR?

Just an update about my accident in Valmart, today i had an operation on my cheek bones to realign them and im very impressed with the Hospital here in Rivne (Ukraine) and the whole system here. Before i was in Krakow (Poland) to have some implants put in and was very impressed with the Dentists there but when the doctor here (Ukraine )examined them he was impressed with the work BUT he said he could have done just as good a job and showed me pictures and would only have charged half the price. and after the job that he done on me i believe him. The only trouble with that was you cannot check it out online and book in if you are not a Ukanian, altough if you want to turn up he will do the work.
Any way someone may be interested in this post about me rather than my RR which is parked in the car park here untill friday as thats how long i have to stay here.

That’ll teach you to go shopping for teeth

In all seriousness, I wish you a speedy recovery and the best of care.
Atleast now you will have more time to spend with us :D

Thank you i might have more time but after paying for teeth the RR might not have as much to spend on it. so i might have to cut my journey short by 5 000 miles this year and only do 15000 miles before i go back to Australia and start spending on my Disco 3 there

Took it for the Control Technique (MOT) passed, so good for another 2 years, just an advisory that the rear brake pads will soon need replacement. The emissions test surprised the tester, the opacity limit for the year of car is 3.6, on the first cycle it logged 1.11, on the second cycle 0.51. Pretty good for a 19 year old car, better according to the tester than some much newer cars.

Took it for an MOT at lunch time, failed on a suspension arm ball joint, nipped to my local indi who put a new one on (far too wet to do it myself today) back for MOT retest and job done.

Exciting day today !!
Took off a wheel to start on my repainting project. I have the original RR alloys fitted but they are in poor condition, so started off with a good wash with fairy liquid type stuff and set too with the wet and dry to get all the scabs off ready for a respray.
Even with 80 grit it was taking an age, then moved on to 120 then 180 by which time my fingers were a bit sore. Washed my hands to find lots of little dabs of blood on the towel, like a twot I've worn through the ends of my fingers. Didn't notice while my hands were wet.
Think I'll wear some gloves tomorrow.:confused:
Em, did you have the wet and dry the correct way round ;):D:D

3D printed a battery bracket till I can get a proper one, and a holder for my new ECig

Yes and err-------- no. To get into all the little crooks and nannies I was folding it to get a good rough edge to do the detailing. With wet hands it didn't take long to wear through my fingertips.
The good news is my fingertips have scabbed up so repairs are ongoing, the bad news is that the scabs keep catching on things.
Can't help thinking "man-up you twot, it's nothing".
The other good news is that I'm on the final coats of colour so should be finished by the weekend, would be finished by now easily if it wasn't for having to hang around watching paint dry.

well ive nothing else to do as i have to stay in hospital till Friday so i thought i might annoy you all by telling about the last time i was in Kiev in the Ukraine which was 1998 one year before my Range Rover was manufactured and i was driving a Citrone BX19 and just been driving it for 6 months and 38000 miles through Russia. we only had a 3 day transit visa through Ukraineso could not do much but one thing we did was visit the museum of micro minatures where the exhibits have to be viewed through microscopes and it amazing what the man who made them could do. His first project was to fit golden horse shoes to a flea and then the models got smaller and the one that amazed me was that he took a human hair and bored it out then polished it until it was tranparent and then inserted a model of a rose into it.
