What did you do with your Range Rover today

Installed repaired burned and loose positve post fusebox, fingers crossed, turn the key ............ glow plugs light...............click F**K!! AAAARGH. Multimeter out - 11.5v on the battery. Hmm ok lets try jumping it. No change, click from the fuse box - realised not hearing anything from the starter solenoid. Ok hit starter..... nothing. Jump leads from battery direct to starter - nothing. (Long haired sergeant major found me a video much later - I need to bridge the 2 postives. B*gger. Tomorrow's task now). So suspect it's the starter but need 12v to prove it, unless the BECM is not allowing the starter to engage due to low volts.....

Cost me E50 to get the thing recovered to my barn - at least I can stay out of the rain now :D

Christmas reprieve for three days, ran like a dream and ferried everyone one around with lots of nice comments and compliments.
Woke up this morning and VOILA.. new leak..!!
Bless her..

@tomcat59alan - It had none in there:p just driving home from a swim....;)
Funnily enough, that sunroof is brilliant at 100kph, less noise than when it is closed and probably similar amounts of air entering the vehicle:D:rolleyes::oops:

Minus: Found a corroded pipe that connects the radiator to the engine block today. Horrible state, really bad it literally fell out of the engine block. I thinks it's ally and I'm guessing that's what mixing coolants does. The corrosion is nasty, in the block and in the pipe. Looks like a bad case of hard water calcification. At least I know it's not a head gasket leak now!

Plus: Serviced the starter motor, tons of carbon fell out, more had to be chiselled out. I can jump start across the solenoid now.

Still waiting for the fusebox to arrive

A bit of copper heating pipe might do a temporary repair using epoxy to fix it in.

Gave it a good clean and noticed some arse muncher has dinged the bonnet on the nearside corner above the headlamp.

Better than me, glow plug problem has come back today, had to use a jump lead from the battery to #4 glow plug to start her.:mad::mad::mad::mad:
Couldn't use the 90 cos half the suspension is on the floor doing a coil/damper/bracket replacement. Bugger.

Sorry, didn't quote, meant to be reply to @Bagshot

Drove it to go to an archery shoot and found the front screen has now got a load of circular cracks in it passenger side the size of a football and a dirt mark in middle, nice way to start the new year more money to find:(
