Someone else's .......4.2 SC, full engine service, plugs,,coolant and gbox dump and fill.

By God she's pretty nippy, although I believe I felt lag, certainly set up for boosting quite high in the rev range.

2 Post hoist doesn't seem to have had any adverse effects on the EAS,
be somewhat funny if she's all crooked the morrow.

The doris asked what I was doing, I said I was going to take a couple of photos of me knob and put them up on tinternet.

Think something was lost in translation there for a minute or so.

Anyway, this is the finished article. I had some nice bits of wood kicking about so made these.

I think I've f....d mine. Sat in the newly acquired 2009 TDV8 this morning pressing buttons and having a cup of tea and thinking this is the life: pressed an 'up' and 'down' button for the suspension and then couldn't get the light off - took it for a run in the village and as I reversed there was a slight 'grumbling' noise and shortly afterwards, when I switched to forward, a warning came up saying 'slow down or the suspension will lower' of something like that. Pressed the button again keeping my finger on it and now all seems good. Phew.......I'm not touching any more buttons.

Replaced the Drivers door latch assembly. Everything works...... except I broke the doorlock flag-arm off :(
No idea if its an easy fix or not.

I fabricated one out of steel ,drilled and fixed it with a small self tapping screw, reinforced with steel epoxy.
Hi @tomcat59alan
Sounds good, but I am not sure how much material remains on the lock (what a cr@p design LR !!!) .
I assume this means pulling the door-handle & lock out?
How long has your fix lasted for so far? Got any pics?
Here is where mine snapped off.

Thanks for the tip, may try it.

Yes, have to take the handle off. The piece of steel was attached to the lock and extended and drilled to take the rod. You will have to work out how long it has to be when you put the pieces together. No pic's sorry but it has lasted at least 8 yrs. Hope thats not a kiss of death.

Drove it, lots! Since my fuelling incident I've noticed the lack of power before the turbo kicks in is REALLY noticeable. Throttle pot is working fine and the MAP is registering changes but the power is so flat before 1750 rpm the acceleration is glacial and then you're thrown back in your seat.

That is what my bus is like all of the time. I just figured it was turbo lag, inherent with an 80s design engine and turbo.
