I'm moderately curious Joss, how did you manage to edit your faux pas 27 hours after the fact?
I thought the window was around 1.5 hours.
I can still edit all my posts. Just checked the ones earlier in this thread and I can change those too.

Tbf I get mistaken for a female loads. Jocelyn isn’t exactly well known for being a male name! The amount of mail I get for Ms Joss Townsend-Drake. Even uni got it wrong and housed me in a house full of girls in my first year

Started to pack for the drive to London. I am doing it very slowly, so as not to overwhelm her. That way she may not realise she is off on a road trip and might start when needed

Having problems opening the lower tailgate on the P38 so bought a second hand solenoid unit. Same problem-sometimes opens-sometimes doesn't. Cleaned all the rods, latches and re-lubed-also adjusted the rod holder. A little better-but still not normal.
Drivers window has decided to become "window not set" again-but apart from this driving very well!
Just remembered as well-bought it 11 years ago to the day!

Most likely the button. They get wet and fail. I repaired mine several times before I gave up and bought a new one.
+1 swapped out but also replaced the rubber oring in the tailgate to leep the wet out
