What did you do with your Range Rover today

Today I mostly drove it to Sub Way & back home.... Same yesterday. But today, the added extra was a trip to the local precision engineering workshop to price some parts for a Citroen C4 1.6hdi. Need a turbo, timing belt kit and oil pipe & sump stuff rebuild kit (new strainer, gaskets, etc).

Sunday, I mostly drove a round trip of almost 100 miles to tow the above mentioned Citroen with the Range Rover and had no problems whatsoever. I even managed 17.3mpg during the tow....

Today I hope to get my Range Roverout of storage and back on the road as I havejust got back from Austraqlia where I have spent the last few months. On the way back I spent a couple of days in Dubia and having nothing better to do booked myself on a trip Dune Bashing and it was quite impressive what the Toyoto land cruisers can do although you only get about 10 mins on the actual dunes and the rest of the six hours you could ride a camel or hire a quad bike and then after dark watch a show of belly dancing and fire eating with a chicken BBQ thrown in.

Yesterday dropped head lining board, just waiting for new material now so i can recover and refit . Also purchased new battery, and managed to get a full set of wheel arch spats, has anyone got any suggestions on the best type of mastic adhesive to use to glue the spats on with? Had to dip into the savings pot and buy a DSP amp, they are so much money now.

Yeah, I did that tour. Good fun. The missus was in the back seats and hurled her stomach contents out behind a dune while I was filling up on barbequed goat.

Thought you'd shipped the Rangie out to Oz from Southampton a few months back?

No i wont ship it out to Oz because of the customs requirements but i will probably replace my F250 with a range rover at some stage when I get rid of my others cars out there
I have for sale a 1973 Ford LTD (Australian version)
1976 series 111 SWB Land Rover
1976 Ford F250 stylside pickup which is my daily driver.
and by the way the Range Rover started up today and is going for its MOT this afternoon

The old P38 diesel passed the MOT again! What an amazing car for its age. 21 years and going strong. I wonder how many of the new generation overpriced Range Rovers will still be running in 21 years?

Not many. They are engineering the ability for all but the most basic home repairs out of modern cars.

Drove Inverness, Carrbridge, Tomintoul, Cock Bridge, Alford, Westhill, Aberdeen. Round Aberdeen to Duthie Park, then later to ASDA, and back to the flat with shopping. While sitting in traffic at the Castle Gate, a bloke in a van was looking at George and gabbing to his mate, so I put the window down. I asked you like?
He replied in the positive. "Ahh wiz jist sayin tae mahh pal, at's an affa bonny clean car. Ahh like eh colour innah. Fit a bonny colour. Fit did ye pey for aht car?"
When I told him, he almost fell out of his van :D and said "Ahm nae jealous or nithin!" :D

Anyway, we then set off for Banff and about 3 miles through the city, my lads stressed that he really REALLY needed a pee

"Why didn't you ask at Julie Anne's?"

Anyway, we found a car park where he didn't quite get it out on time so when the tree was well and truly watered, we changed his underwear & trousers and gave him a wet wipe :D Daft child  Why do they always leave it to the last second and then when there is no place to stop?? o_O

So we then made it to Banff and had a gorgeous bowl of home made lentil soup at my sisters house. After that, we put the world to rights over a few nippy sweeties and chewed the fat over injuries...

Today, we are trying to find somewhere to take the child that will be A) interesting and B) within 30 seconds stopping time of a toilet :p

George has been on her best behavior so far  No leaks, no noises and no undue flakeyness....:)
Google translate available.:D

After replacing valve cover seals, new ngk plugs and some coils to cure a miss fire, one of my rear brake pipes let go.The pipes are covered with a plastic panel the length of the nearside chassis leg and have corroded behind it.Either side of the cover they are fine.I will also have to replace the electrical thermostat as this also has developed a fault.I thought I had issues with my old disco 2 before I repaired and sold it but I'm getting fed up with range rover ownership

George is short for Georgia ;)

She's not a tranny, nothing vanny about her :D

She does "have" a tranny, but it's an auto box :p

Another bloke walking along the street with his wife & son, stopped as I was getting out of George and asked me questions about her! He also exclaimed that she's "Very clean!" :)

It's quite amazing the amount of people who stop and ask about her

Latest photo showing one of her good sides
