the 3.9 Classic developed a misfire last night, popped the bonnet to have a look, first thing lets check the HT leads. Number 5 gave me a jolt.

Maybe that's why its just stated missing !

Thanks to @Grrrrrr cured my 'Odometer Incorrect' fault! He also noticed the bubbling black diesel coming from an injector, big thanks for that.

How do you clear the odometer incorrect as mine is showing that after I put a cluster in to check a fault.

Press odometer sync on a nanocom a few times, hopefully you didn't plug a higher mileage binnacle in!

This is the work he did, the material is like the baize you get on snooker tables, except its grey obviously... the marks you can see are the "knap" in the material, you can brush it one way to make it darker, or smooth it back the other way for a lighter colour... or if you are a bit soppy you can write messages in it and tell your wife to look up when she's in the Tank... yeah, that's me, an incurable romantic lol! There is a warehouse on the same industrial estate, when you turn up he takes you there to select the material you want, but he specialises in different camo colours.

To be fair and honest that looks a crap job to me. Was the stuff foam backed. That looks like the sort of job you get just sticking the old head lining material back up.

Oh bugger, at least you still have the lock to strip and hopefully sort out, just the cost of a new striker. If you rebuild the lock remove the super lock motor (the smaller one)and glue the operating mechanism so you never have a problem in the future with it superlocking and not opening.

With top radiator hose replaced last week, woke up to -7 and a 200mile round trip journey planned. The beautiful beast started first turn of the key as always and off we went on an other Russian adventure. Pot holes and driving snow and often the heater book icon appearing but made the trip with good hot air and a comfortable ride.
I love this car it, never fails to impress me. It's going to be a shame to put it to bed again soon for months as I travel to France and pick up my other Rover (sadly not Range) that has been in bed for the French winter.

Passed the MOT.

Thanks for your post. When unlocking with the remote the whole car unlocks and on the drivers door the lock motor moves and the sill button moves up but the door remains firmly latched and the car immediately locks up again It won't unlock with the key in the door. I tried pulling the exterior handle at the precise moment the sill button comes up but no joy. In the split second the rest of the car is unlocked I opened the offside rear door and gained access no problem.
So I took that door off and got busy with a hacksaw blade. I'm going to take your advice and strip the lock down and remove the superlock motor and see if I can get the device to reliably work again. New ones are £180 or so.
