today I picked up my RR with the HP 24 fitted and the mechanic that fitted it said he had no problems and just changed the bellhousing and torque converter over >
I would have done it myself but Im getting to old to go crawling under cars and lifting gearboxes into place.
Next week i will put it on SORN as im going back to Oz for 3 months but having a stopover in Abu Darbi where I have got a 4x4 hire car ( i think its a pajero which in some countries translates as ****er so they are not called that in Chile but a galloper) aqnd will spend a couple of weeks touring the Arab Emirates and Oman.
Next year when I come back I hope to be taking the RR to some of the Stan that I havnt been to Tajikistan in particular.
Should be all ready and just a set of new tyres to go on and every thing should be OK.

Broke the drivers window regulator or the car decided it hadn't gone wrong for a while so it decided to break its self, new one orders, still trying to track down the hiss from mainly the rear speakers which clears after 10 mins or so, no its not water damage iv checked the DSP amp best I can't does it on CD, radio and tape even when there is no music as such, mite be the head unit I'm gonna pull it sat n check it over n service the tape deck as iv just picked up a huge box of tapes eeeek, mite be the off side rear door amp as it's much worse threw that speaker will disconnect it to see what happens.

Oh the joys of RR ownership

Changed the front drivers door regulator, stripped the motor off the worm gear while I was there cleaned the brushes regressed the gear refitted greased the runners, as good as new.

Now if I could only track down that audio hiss
