What did you do with your Range Rover today

Apparently it's a lorry carrying ammunition up in flames?

Anyway. I drove it today for the first time in over a week. It felt goooooood.

Drove it to the Chiltern hills to start setting up for this weekends steam rally, back tomorrow with the van and caravan, god it was hot in the field and you wouldn't want to be it the marques:eek:

Good for you, mines never needed 2 heats ever (whispers back) moved my pump the same over a year ago.

Given my recent experience I wonder if that was the first sign the lift-pump was getting tired? Might be worth looking at Wammer's How To and testing the volume yours is pumping.

Not that it seems to need a lift-pump particularly unless it runs out of fuel. The lower pressure just seems to result in it adjusting the timing modulation.

Below a quarter tank can give trouble with a failed lift pump and often down on power.

Usually a good day out. All sorts in there: traction engines, classic cars. Up behind Great Missenden off the A413. Nice area.

Just occurred to me. Dopey fancied meeting up. It's a nice place, good day out, there will be food and beer. Might be worth aiming for Sunday?

Of course, I've got a lot of work to finish on the Rangie before I can get there. It is getting urgent now. Everytime I start the Jag £50 notes fly out the exhaust.

Today I just made a bunch of promises to my young boys:

DIEGO: "Can we drive up the side of a MOUNTAIN?!"
ME: "Uhhh... sure."

MATEO: "Can this car go in the MUD?!"
ME: "You bet it can!"

Pretty soon I'm going to have to take them out and start delivering on these promises...

This morning I was a big kid and played around with the EAS. Up and down, up and down... was good fun and pleasing to see it working so well. It literally shoots up within seconds now, something it's never done before!

My daughter was like that with my old Frontera. It had big chunky tyres, whip antenna, roof rack with 4 stupidly bright spots etc etc.

She affectionately called it 'The Mountain Car' because we'd take it up and down some slopes and in to mud and huge puddles etc :)
