Replaced all cruise control hoses with 6mm silicon hose, now have working cruise control again. Noticed throttle body heater plate dripping again, only replaced a couple of months ago, something else to fix,

Mines got as you see it. Later clear indicators with pre 99 chrome headlights. Heated manual leather seats. Eleccy mirrors. Heated front screen. Wood around auto H gate. Wood along glovebox. Puddle lights in doors. A sunshine roof that dosent leak. No stereo buttons on steering wheel but got cruise control. Half colour coded front bumper soon to have fogs in too since the auto box cooler isnt in the corner of the bumper anymore. Rear bumpers black with red inserts. No cd changer or factory sub in boot. Or no bloody cup holders (most annoying thing) haha. Time to fine wash it underneath and get handy with the underseal i think found a scab on chassis by rear wheel when it was just dangling playing about so whole thing needs done asap

That's what I did but only because the lacquer had blistered badly. Can do a really good job on them with rattle cans :)

I think someone may have upgraded it. Kind but save them for yourself. The missus has already trashed 2 wing-mirrors so it'd just go the same way! I won't spray because I tried it before and without baking it out the paint doesn't look right after a few years.

Mine has clear indicators too and I didn't notice until it was parked next to another one of the same age. Inside mine has wood trim yet I'm pretty certain the DT was all plastic. Mine's had 8 previous owners though so plenty of scope for fiddling. I've speakers in doors that don't work and when I got behind to look there isn't even a loom for them!

Mine had the clear bits hurricane wheels. a new engine at the cost of near 7k a gearbox turbo and inj pump with 1 owner then it was thrown on coils and sold :/ father in law did all wheelbearings and brakes all around new sphere thing both props new exhaust cat back most of the motor is only 8 year old

I just assumed p38s had colour coded mirrors

Still a to do later seen this on my o/s/f disc think a grease and a free up may be needed pads still have about 2/3rds left on them and no lips on discs yet or vibration or pulling so best to have a looky

I was lucky to find what I wanted, I won't buy a car with a sunroof and I didn't want colour coded bumpers as they soon look tatty, although with the drop down tailgate at least they don't get scratched by the dog :)

Must admit the sunroof is a waste of time, to hot in the summer to have it open as it cooks your swede. Last time I opened it (by accident) I covered SWMBO with the 6 inches of snow that was on the roof. Result, vision and no sound for days after.:D

:hysterically_laughi
After seeing the damage to a scull when a car flipped and the blokes head dragged on the ground through the broken sun roof I swore I'd never buy another car with a glass panel of any sort in the roof:eek:

I have my sunroof disabled with the nanacom and the wires unpluged from the motor

Mine has colour coded mirrors and plain black bumpers, leather heated manual seats, heated screen & aircon but no sunroof.
Typical BMW, you buy a basic car and double the price from the options list.

They not half coloured? I wouldnt want full colour coded bumpers id have knocked half the paint off the front bumper bump strip by now hit the poles at asdas a few times now
