Yep i greased the piston at full length:oops:, and each time i pressed it back it got lighter n lighter till it was sliding back in with one finger ,,,,,,On the tool :p .now just the back to do ,,,I start with brake fluid but its not a very good lube ,add grease ,till theres a sloppy mess under my rubber bits...;):D:D
Dirty boy, didn't your mum buy you any toys to play with as a nipper?.:D:D:rolleyes:

Today i striped n cleaned the front brakes and one piston on near side ,was almost solid ,better now iv moved it in n out a dozen times ,anyway the point,,I was getting a squeak at low speed ,when passing parked cars:( ,on passenger side and a bit of a drag ,pull to that side ,,and that bloody rear axle breather tube was down again ,no mater where i shove it it never stays:mad::confused: ...think i will drill a hole in the floor:eek::eek::oops::D:D...
If it acts like bike brakes, drag and seizure is partly down to fluid trapped behind the piston seal in the groove going dried and crystalline. Pushes on the piston sides. Needs piston and seal out and the groove thoroughly cleaning for a long term cure.

Used the number one P38 to go shopping after it had been stood for 3 weeks while we used the other one. It expressed it's unhappiness at being ignored by having the front passenger side window switch refuse to raise the window:rolleyes::( Another job.

Something that has become habit with me now is to drop the drivers window just 1/2 inch and then check it goes back up again. Something is not quite right as it sometimes refuses to close, better to find out while the wind deflector hides an open window before I get home.

On the P38, the lazy locking shuts the window as long as it's the switch is the problem which it usually is.:D

Seriously considering selling the p38, i just can't justify it as an everyday/only vehicle.
I want to focus on getting my 2A back up and running again then there's my bikes to keep maintained, as much as i enjoy the p38 i haven't got the time to keep that too :(

Not worth a lot with a dodgy engine especially a V8, better to keep it if you have the space and SORN it until you have time to sort it.
That's the problem, i don't have the space :(
I can't let my 2A sit and overwinter outside on the drive without spending time on it over summer and getting it running, the chassis was ok when i parked it up a number of years ago but I'm scared to look underneath now! Hopefully it's just surface rust but who knows

Well that’s not very funny
not good joke at all.
Borrow my chip one.

I went into a chip shop once said “what chips can I have?”
The woman said ‘you can have 70 or 90’.

I said “fuck it if you’re gonna count them il have a pie!
