It's likely a similar colour if you've been sunbathing naked Alan!

Believe it was the same storm over the Saraha, the one that dumped sand over the South of England that played havoc with the weather in the Canaries.

Totally untrue, with proper servicing (oil and filter every 2.5k) the venerable v8 can be just as bulletproof and reliable. Cams and followers get eaten when changes are scrimpt on.
I agree, and that will be what the series is to me.
The main clientele that the Rangie were aimed at wouldn't of thought twice about the fuel costs, they are all 2nd/3rd hand and more now so obviously cost to owners such as ourselves is an obvious thought to that.
Trouble is landrover did the same to the vm in the classic, compared to the v8 it was shìt, no grunt right down low, but some people like them, apparently the same is true with the 2.5 but not for me thanks

On a 3.5 or maybe even the 3.9 guise maybe. But the 4.6 is just too vulnerable. Head gaskets are a serviceable item at 100k intervals.

Did my lower arms and front droplinks, quick recalibration on height, got alightment checked 0.1 toe in on what it should be so just left it at that close enough, i want too up my tyre size from 275 40 20 to 275 45 20 when these continentals have worn out so rolling diamater is same as stock 18s
