Week 2 - Thursday
  • 2/3 top Dash vents completely popped out.
  • Drivers door seems to have dropped, pulled the door card off opening it, card cracked but duct taped together stop it rattling.
  • Viscous fan is on its way out. Can’t make up its mind wether it’s seized or not and is now wobbling side to side. Pump is fine
  • Rear wheel bolts on one wheel were loose? Never had this on a vehicle ever before. Maybe someone’s had a go at them? Then noticed ones a locker  Other 3 wheels ok.

I had the viscous fan wobbling, it turned out to be the plate at the back that the fan blades mount to had fractured and was about to fall apart, so best to have a quick look at that before it takes out the rad and other stuff.

Couldn’t get a spanner big enough in work to fit it. From looking down it did seem like the plate. It’s only a little movement at the moment but much more it will probably start to chew the coolant top hose

Just like me. Bits going haywire all the time. Called old age:D

Got under the 322 today and it has officially joined the LR “leaky” club;)
Now to try track it down;).

Left hand side facing the engine, bellhousing to engine, nothing visible from top and seems oily;)o_O. What’s there I wonder;)

pics taken from under so on the right;). Nothing touched recently and all levels good, but I do know a little oil goes along way:p:D.

Put the leak free P38 back in the garage:D, which has not been run for ages and bowed to the RR gods arse first then nose up, battery is knackered though so used the “old” 322 1 to jump start:eek:. Took it for a run round the block for a smile or 3:p.

Give it a clean and see where it starts to come from when started up

I wish it was that easy:) have you looked under the bonnet of a 4.4tdv8;).probably take half a day to get the rocker covers visible :( then it wouldn’t run:rolleyes:.
Need to look at my files and see what’s there/thereabouts;)

USB inspection camera and mobile phone or laptop? Usually only a few quid off fleabay. Not stunning quality but useful to have about sometimes for tricky places. Only need about 10mm diameter gap to get through.
