Tires are prohibitivley expensive so, I asked our tire dealer when we switched to winter tires for the other two cars for offers for decent, winter rated, ATs. Before Covid those (e.g. Falken, Hankook or Yokohama) could be had for roughly 100 bucks per tire. Now they are all north of 160 if tbey can be had at all. Well, I'm in no rush, so rims first it is!

Looks good though bud. I’ve not seen pics since you were searching for coils. In really good shape now

I got lazy with pics, sorry for that. And thanks for the compliment, with the exception of the hood (now, it looked decent enough before the incident) I am quite happy with it. The few mechanical quirks are planned to be fixed over winter in a garage (rear springs, a new diff, finally fitting the braided break hoses, new shock dome retainer platea front).

We'll see how she's gonna look like with the new hood so, I have no idea what color it is... Interior wise I new carpets and some bits.

Always thinking ahead, I'm considering an engine tuning once the engine nedds whatever work to be done (new heads, new cam, new water pump and timing gear, maybe a rebore...). I do have a tendency to get way ahead of things with her!

Fink I've damaged the small pipe under the expansion tank, losing coolant and there's coolant under the tank! Pretty sure it's not the overflow
I've got a britpart one on the shelf somewhere

Parked them up together!

So which 1 or 2 of the others are gonna get sold.
You can’t break up such a lovely couple:D.

Well, I love my Audi so that can't go and officially, I'm the owner and keeper of the Mini but I did buy it for my daughters birthday so I can't, really, get rid of that.

I guess it stays as 4 for now though it is a good time to sell a 4x4!

I repaired it once.. i think it's reached the end of its life :(
Get it changed asap. We had a Senator recovered to the garage once, lovely car ex Wirral Council mayor's limo, the owner had cooked it ,we managed to glaze bust the bores and fit six new pistons. All the rings had broken up but not caused any damage. Very lucky man, when I looked for the reason for the overheating I found he had repaired the expansion tank with fiberglass unsuccessfully. When he came to pay the bill which was around£600 ,long time ago remember,I told him I'd fitted a new tank for the princely sum of £13.
