What did you do with your Range Rover today

I forgot to mention replacing the panhard bushing which was the most difficult of the job. Getting the old one out and pressing the new one in really tested the limits of the mechanical press that I had access to. After fixing it, though, I had learned a fair amount about the workings of the front end.

I hope your is fix is simpler.

Mick, I had intermittent book symbol on my 4.6 thor. Diagnostics indicated heater matrix temp sensor. £22 & 15 mins to fit. Sorted. Hope yours is the same.

Panhard bushes were changed a few weeks ago.. did them in me vice !

I hope this little indiscretion today is not a sign of things to come !... and hope the fix is indeed simple ! It will be the first

I changed the steering damper and got a slight improvement, then the radius arm bushes made a major major improvement which highlighted the tram lining.

Put it on 16" rims with tread on the tyres and now it is fine!!

Funny you should say that... I have got some bushes to fit as well !

Don't usually have a problem .. but today was a proper ****ter !

The jobs are just stacking up... brakes, heater resistor, steering damper..... bushes.... FFS

I fitted a new thermostat to my '92 3.9efi today and it cured my slow warm up problem .Whilst I was there I removed the plastic grill from the decker panel to see if my heater resister was there or not. It was , so at least it will be easier to change than the one in the blower motor housing ! Does anyone know if its the same resistor with only the different locations?

'90 thru '94 are listed as the same part.
Range Rover A/C Blower Motor Resistor (Same Fit As Genuine Part # PRC8010)

On the '95 it's different.

Fitted new coil pack to the beast.

It's right what someone else said, there is definitely a place in hell for the guy who stuck them at the back of the engine.

Car goes in next week to have accident damage repaired. Good thing it happened at work and their insurance are paying.

Sorted out the eas height problems. Made some blocks out of 30mm dowel and set to the given heights. All square and sits nice now.

Took photos of the coil replacement and will do a how to later.

Stripped cleaned and re fitted my rear wipe motor so its finally working.

I think I might have the same problem on mine.
Any tips on fitting, I take it it's not much of the dash to come out if it only took 15 mins, also where did you get the Temp sensor from.

The sensor was purchased from Island 4x4 & arrived quickly.
Fitting only involved removing lower dash panel on drivers side (4 screws). The sensor is up between the pipes behind the heater matrix. Release wiring connector, undo retaining clip & remove.
Fitting is reverse. It is a bit fiddly getting your hand in to do the clip but is possible.
One word of warning.... Do not put too much pressure on the heater pipe as you are very close to the O rings. Any major movement may disturb the o rings & make them leak (as experienced by another member). Then you will have a major job on your hands. Good luck

Many thanks for your help. Just to clarify, is this the Sensor you replaced, theres two listed on Island 4X4 neither have images to identify only part numbers.
I'm assuming this is the right one Part Number: STC3256.

Gave mine a coat of looking at, through the window. Then took the jag out for a rag

Access doesn't seem to be too bad with the lower Dash panel removed, I can always remove more if needed.

I took the alternator off and found a ruddy big hole in the wiring loom...

kinda sucks... badly

Backed it into the barn to check the connector on the rear height sensor after a RR fault in the ****ing rain. It was wet.

fixed all but one wire in the wiring loom
