Probably all forum members winding him up.:D

Went out to start the old girl to take doggo to the vets (again), hit unlock and she was already unlocked, which means she has been unlocked for a week and apparently lead to the battery draining enough that although everything lit up, she wouldn't start. ****!
I get a neighbour to help me start her (15 mins hanging off a Civic) and I get to the vets, come out and realise I am an idiot who turned off the old girl... ****!
Luckily a hero in a L322 rolled in and parked near me, so I cheeky asked if he'd help jump me, he agreed.
Got the girl back home and put her on a charger. I am sure the neighbours will be OK with my setup.

I bet you have a sore ass buddy after letting the L322 owner jump you. LOL

Just had a call from the dealer selling the H&H to say he sold it today to the chap who went to see it which he did say he was 100% confident he was gonna do. Fair play to him.
Classic case of " if you snooze you lose"
Wait for a new members first post"I've just bought a H&H and need the forums help.:D

Just had a look at it, interesting that you don't remember black ones ;)
As seller is claiming they were all black : "It is believed that the first owner of this car was Virgin Atlantic airlines, where they used it for their Upper Class customer chauffeur service. All their Range Rover chauffeur vehicles were a rare specification: java black paintwork."
Interesting use of "it is believed" :)

7 owners though. Never a good sign.

I have been having a lot of chats online with the chap selling it. Mike is his name. He seems a nice enough chap and has answered pretty much all of my many questions so far albeit i do like to ask more and try and find out as much as i can. He cannot verify the Virgin connection ( not that it matters to me ) as it can actually go against the car TBF. He has not owned it long either. November he said to me via message so i think he is just trying to " flip it " for a profit. He has said NO, but i think he might be connected to one of the other guys selling P38's on ebay and has 2 differing selling names too. Alex is his name and i met him with another chap 2 weeks ago at his parents mansion in Castle Coombe to look over a 2001 HSE and a early 97 Autobiography. Both were not to my liking albeit he states on ebay he has taken a deposit on the latter so fair play to him too.

There is just something not ringing true to me on this black Vogue though including the asking price of £9500. Good luck to him if he gets it i say. I challenged him on not including the book pack and tow bar if full asking price is not met and he just said he had to pay for them so others will too. No sense in mentioning them in the listing then i thought. He used to frequent this forum too he said so i bet he is on here looking as well. LOL. It looks a nice enough car and he seems a decent enough chap too but no way would i pay that money for it.
I watch and check online daily now and always new examples coming to market daily and all at differing prices too. The high prices ones are all still unsold with the exception of a couple ONLY.

LMFAO!!!! My search continues albeit i have even now started to look at the late model classic Range Rovers. I particularly like the last of the line LSE models with soft dash and brooklands bodykits even though they are very rare cars today.
Kingsley 4x4 is only 35 mins drive away but they are just stupid money. I love that Classic Overfinch but @ 75k its out of my range unless he took my Rolls Royce in px against it. LOL.

Peter Vardy in Scotland also has a beautiful looking silver Range Rover classic 4.0 SE for sale with 1 owner and a total history for 25k which in the scheme of things seemed quite reasonable. Less to go wrong on them i suppose too.

The later classics/soft dashes are more a pain in the arse than the P38..

;)

Really????? Looks like i will never get one then at this rate.
If you want a classic get the Harddash..

I had A 3.9 Manual and it was a hoot to drive..

6mpg wasn't fun though.

The rot you have to watch..

I filled the rot in mine with fiberglass and flipped it for 5 times what I payed for it............................................. Joking ;)
