What are these?

Not sure what these are. Any ideas?

A bit more info might help. Were they from a land rover? They vaguely look like some kind of spacer for suspension.

They were in the back of a 1976 Series 3 lwb which I was breaking. I don't think that they came off it though, they look more train or traction engine to me. They are mirror images of each other and one has a part number stamp U221 and the other U222. They only thing that I can find that has those part numbers is a 1968 Datsun Bluebird!

They do look steam engine, or rail engine linkage, perhaps previous owner was a rail enthusiast.

Wern't U221 a submarine ?
