Hi all,
Having just got me new toy, I'm allready thinking of a few minor adjustments.
Mine is a 1990 110 Defender with 2.5 petrol engine. I am not sure what gearbox is in it but is it 5 speed.
I have available to me a Discovery 200tdi at a silly price and this got me thinking about dropping the 200tdi lump into my 110 and maybe the axles to gain discs allround and PAS. I hope that my fuel bill might be a little more healthy as a result.
So anyone done it? Should i just wack in the engine or should i use the disco transmission aswell. I am handy with the spanners, have the space and engine cranes.
if so what are the major pitfalls/problems I am likley to come across?
anyone going to want the leftovers?
i'd appreciate any opinion or ideas.
