Hi All, does anybody know the legalities of putting bench seats in the back of a 110. I will soon be buying my first landy anf im finding it hard to find a suitable 110 station wagon, so im considering getting a standard 110 and fitting seats my self. any help or suggestions would be very apprieciated. Cheers Gareth :D

inward facing seats are not affected by the MOT test, only forward facing, so seat belts and mountings are not testable. Hope this helps.

But dunt put anyone you actually care about on a bench seat.

Forward facing foldups are often on fleabay for a good price, but can't be used with kiddies booster seats. Fine fer adults tho'.

Have a look at Exmoor Trim's site for ideas & prices new.

i was thinking of putting a decent forward facing seat in a series, do you know what the regs are for one passing the mot with home made brackets? is it just the strength/resistance to forces in a crash i.e the spreading of weight appropriately?

As long as you do a good job and the seat is secure you shouldn't have any problems. Or you could just unbolt it before taking it for an MOT.

I suppose insurance would be a bigger concern to me. If you put seats into a car that didn't have them originally, wouldn't that be classed as a modification?
