Anyhoo, I had a real hassle with at secondary school. The word I was looking at seemed to flicker or swim out of focus, so I found it easier to half focus on the words around or to the side of the word I wanted to read. However, it only happened when I felt hungry...
Roll on a few years & I found I was diabetic. Roll on a bit further, I found when my blood sugar started dropping, I would suffer the same hassle when reading and thus found a way to predict if I was hungry or worse. I mentioned this to a woman I interviewed (when I worked at radio local) about dyslexics and the Highland Dyslexia School. She found it very interesting although I haven't heard anything about any great leap forward
Anyhoo, we are made of chemicals and if they are somewhat lacking, then it can affect many different facets of our lives. However, sadly, I think the seller isn't dyslexic, just a lazy arsed fanny who spent more time bunking off English lessons to smoke (or, depending on local accent, "smiiirk" ) behind the local attractions and whistle at burds
