Went to look at a Disco

So yesterday I went to look at a 96 300 tdi. Bodywork looked ok but underneath I noticed quite a bit of oil.

The pic is just a pic I stole from LZ but the oil was where the round wheel thing is. Is this a bad sign?

The "round wheel thing" is the transmission/hand brake. Don`t want too much oil inside that! Need to find where the oil is coming from exactly, and how much, before deciding if serious or "it`s a Landy they all do that".

if its coming out tof the drum its the transfer case rear output seal. might fit new handbrake shoes too.

easy and cheap repair, dont worry.

Wipe your finger in it and see what oil it is. As above, that is the likely cause.
