WELL I"VE GONE AND DONE IT.

After months and months I have finally bought myself another Mark 1 Face lift TD4 AUTO. Younger than my Serengeti with less mileage the one I bought is a 3 Door Sport with removeable Hard Top and I couldn"t be happier. It"s in the garage having some remedial work but I will let you know what I think of it in a week or so. Yippee

Have to say, in many ways I wish I'd put the money that I spent on my F2 into rebuilding the F1.

With a $13.5k budget could have done quite a job.

Mind you I do enjoy driving the F2 as well.

Thanks for that Andy. My only concern on the previous MOT it has Oil Leak 8.4.1 (but not ecessive) I must admit I couldn"t see it when I test drove the car yesterday and neither could the chap I bought it from. Just hope it won"t be expensive to cure.

Cheers mate. I was telling Andyfreelander that on the last MOT it had a minor leak.

My TD4 Sport had an advisory for an oil leak for many MOTs before I bought it.
It was just a loose intercooler pipe clamp dripping onto the engine cover.

Thanks Andy. thats a load off my mind. The chap I bought off is having the read Propshaft serviced and Balanced then it will be returned to the local garage to be fitted with rear bearings? Hopefully the end of next week I will have it on the road.
