Evening all!

I've been a Landy owner and fan for longer than I like to admit...
The first Landy I bought was a 200Tdi csw. Which I regret to say I ran into the ground and broke up for parts.... I was then lucky enough to be in the position to buy my Defender Td5 130 double cab from our neighbour, which I still have.
I also have a Discovery 300Tdi and a Series II 88"... The Disco was bought as an interim tow vehicle after a 'friend' put my 130 in a ditch... 3 years ago. The Series is a non- running project vehicle...

Now, going back to the 130.... It is/ was my pride and joy... A bottomless pit I threw money into as a never ending project to eventually get it to the spec I wanted as my perfect truck...
3 years ago I was going away over the Christmas - New year period, so I got a friend insured to drive it incase of bad weather while I was away... He managed to park it on the drivers side in a ditch, doing enough bodywork damage to make it a cat. D write-off.
I bought it off the insurers with the intention of fixing it a.s.a.p and getting it back on the road. Life being what it is, I bought the Disco (which now needs a head gasket and some welding) and 3 years has passed with the 130 sat in a shed... It used to look like this:

(Yes the front bumper needed a paint job)

The time has now come to resurrect my pride and joy. Over the passed 3 years I have collected most of the parts needed to do the rebuild. ( Both front wings, windscreen & frame, roof, drivers side doors, rear body box etc.)
I'm going to start a thread in the 'projects' forum to ask advice etc. as I start to strip down and sort out any problems as they arise.

Cheers

Stu

Sounds like a reliable friend!
A picture of what it looks like now would be interesting.
Sounds like a good project.
Welcome to the forum. :)
