Freelander 2 (LR2) Well drove my first automatic car ever today.

drome me mams hse today, first time I've ever drove an auto I was supprised at how quickly the thing picks up and speed.

And for once I had air con, electric Windows, cruse control and keyless entry.

I was quite impressed.

Auto every time for me. And no clutches to change.

You been living in the stone age

having a weak left leg I really need an auto and would not be with out one I would love to have an old series but can not see the point as I would not use it much as I would like to keep it original .

From what I read in the LRO and LRM you can get a adaption for a hard clutch.

Hi yes, it is called an 'AUTO' lol

I love auto boxes, got two cars with automatic transmission.
Unfortunately the work Van is a manual, wonder if I can put an expense claim in for the extra effort

+2 both SWMBO and I prefer auto's - I'll never have a manual - way too difficult for me with a disability.

I have fitted a servo to SWMBO's D1 clutch - VAST improvement - I put a thread on here about it... deffo worth doing in our opinion....

Got to agree, auto everytime for me. In fact the last manual I owned was a Ford Cortina Mk2 back in the mid 70's and I have owned literally dozens of cars since then. My Freelander really suits it's auto box and makes it effortless to drive.

autos i love mine makes me lazy though lol
just dont boot it when in reverse
