Well dodgy 90 on ebay

I've sent a message innocently asking what year it is (as 1976 must be a mistake, like) and if the 300 engine is a conversion or the original factory fitted one, let's see if he answers.
 
Just got a replyto my question from our 90 seller, for what it's worth:

hi, just got in from work, it is year it says but has been modified from prevous owner. i have had this motor for 8 months and will be sadly to see it go

Thankyou for your reply, I'm interested in the land rover but i would like a bit more information, you say it's a 1976 model that has been modified, could you tell me which parts of the vehicle are from the original 1976 landrover? also, did the previous owner give you the receipts for the parts he used to modify it, ie the engine, body work etc?

I think you'll find it has 1976 tyres on and that's all. :cool:

Not even the tyres it seems:

i got told it was a hybred if that means anything to ya, father in law was previous owner for 18 months before me. got no reipts for modify but do for all works i have had done at land rover specialist, ie cam belt tyres shockers. only done 1000 miles on new tyres

This f**ker has nicked it and stuck dud vins on it! I'm tempted to put a bid in a go up there!

I had my 90 nicked years ago, it's not nice!

nothing will come of it.Ebay is probbably the best place to shift a ringer
 
His reply to my questions is:-

"car type springs, i want 2900 on it mate. just been offered 2800 on it and tempted!"

So it must have been one of those test bed things Landrover did :confused:

I wonder if he knows or if he has just discovered and wants rid.
