i brought a numax battery for the 90 a month or so ago and recently charged it up charged up fine. left for a couple of days because i was renewing starter motor. well it seems that the battery has changed polarity ie positive post has changed to negative post and vice versa i thought thats weird. so i checked with multi meter it says - 12.4 volts weird any thoughts

Your meter is the wrong way round or you charged it the wrong way (it is possible), but it would need to have been almost dead in the first place and the battery will show 12.4V but it will probably be goosed.

Yep. It's been charged up arse backwards. Try fully discharging it and then charging it up correctly. It may work but there is a possibility it may now be knackered. As long as it isn't showing reverse polarity after discharging and the re-charging again, you could take it back under warranty if it is duff.;)
