 well told him better to go for a diesel but he wants the engine.

so back to it can any one advise me of the weight or point me in right direction????

cheers

If you've already got the engine & box stick it on a trailer or in ya vehicle and drive to a weighbridge. Then take it out again and weigh the vehicle/trailer without the engine & box in it.

Dead weight would probably be my answer.........

Sorry Bandit, couldn't resist, Don't know I'm afraid.

bloody ell 130kg?? try nearer 400kg. A gaylander weighs round 1600kg doesn't it? so engine and gearbox must be about a quarter of that weight. I certainly would allow at least 250kg as an absolute minimum

bloody hell, thats gonna cost, is they a site i can go on to find out the weight????

I've just taken the engine out of the back of my 90 today and I had to use a ratchet strap cos the fooker was too heavy to drag out on my own and that didn't have a gearbox attached.

Try phoning turners engineering up and ask them for a rough idea of cost as they ship recon engines and gearboxes all over the world.
