Have a very interesting question. over the last few days, my 2002 Td5 mysteriously seems to be suffering from a lack of power.

I can barely hit 90km/h easily when i could do 140km/h before.

Check the ECU, no oil coming down from the injectors, thru the wires. Turbo is not cracked. Intetcooler is ok. Tyres are 4 days old. Engine temp is perfectly normal. Just passed 100000km in december. has always been serviced at 6mth interval, even if the 10k milage is not up. Runs on synthetic oil. Gear box, T-box and axel oils have just been changed in nov.

Someone told me that my fuel pump is abt to pack up and quit. Sounds like an expensive job to fix.

What are the other options and possibilities that i can check before taking it in to the dealership?

how do i go about checking it? where exactly is this located? in the air box? sounds possible cos it runs better on cold days.
