You see what I did there? :p

Most will know my bonny blue wagon is called George (for them's wot just landed on the planet, she's a 2000 RR P38 with a 4litre THOR). So, the fun title kind of half explains it since there's an "A" in the day and if you squint a little... :D

Anyhoo, in detail, I necked the tank, set off from Inversmell, drived 200.4 miles straight with two pee stops (not me, I'm hard as nails) to our stop, jumped (well, hobbled mostly) into a taxi and were conveyed to the airport of choice. Was held up in slow roadworks a couple of times, but pretty much nailed it at 70+ almost all the way and used a smidge over half a tank

I did fill her with premium BP stuff which feels smoother and cleaner. We're parked up at the hotel we're coming back to so I rather think she'll fire up the following morning. Anyone care to place a bet? :p:D

Our hire car had 70Km on the clock  so pretty much just out of the box. Working AC and all the usual nonsense you get in a top of the range FIAT 500 L. It's a diesel with stop/start (ideal driving at 80mph for about 70 miles, then stop at the toll booth and instead of the engine idling to feed the turbo with oil, it just stops ) and I rather think it's a 1.3 as it struggles unless you drop a cog if you want to pass something.

I had to purchase a sling for my arm (you may recall my accident back in Oct last year, and I kept telling the doc, surgeon, our wee dog, my neighbour, you guys and anyone else who'd listen about the pain in my arm/shoulder). I had a scan just before we left and they found a loose muscle all balled up in my shoulder. So the guy wants me to get an MRI to make sure, but looks like an operation when I get home. So, I look like some muppet who fell off his moped, but boy it helps.

The Spanish staff asked what happened so I told them: Gané un concurso de patadas de gilipollas :D:D

Anyhoo, cant wait to get home to drive my lovely old George. I haven't spotted one single 38 out here so far

Did "George" end up making the journey to pick up that food wagon trailer for yer mate, Wales or wherever?

No, he bought one in Fife and they delivered foc. I did put on here that it had happened that way. However, I am a teeny bit surprised at going hell for leather for 200 miles and no breakdown

The only teeny hassle was the condensate from the AC on passenger floor. I put a towel down, so that'll be a nice whiff to return to...

Time to slide under and get an arm full of water. Hand up either side of the bellhousing and squeeze the a/c drains

Either that or replace some rubber tubing... Thing is, the water used to run free under the car last summer. Then, just before winter started, it was dripping inside. I could have looked, but I'm still a bit broken from my accident, so bending left knee is hopeless and left arm pretty much useless at present. I'll get to it somehow ;)

Aircon drain tends to pop off. Bloody cheapskates. You can see it if you peer up the back of the dash by the transmission tunnel.

Thanks Grrrrr, I'll have a shufty when we get home. Maybe it simply popped off with the amount of use it got all of a sudden.

Missed your other post, yes that is good, a 200 mile trip, told ya he could do it, it'd have to be pretty sad not to make that.
Our Disco had the condensate drains blocked when it came to us, had to drive 1800klms home after picking it up with it making puddles of pi5s on the front drivers side floor, I removed both peristaltic valves from the end of the drain lines and had to pull out all the underlay from the floor carpets, has not been a problem in the 6 years since.
