Spoke to Polybush on Saturday at Billing and asked about the centre bushes on the Watts linkage (the one's peep's have been looking for lately).

As we all know they don't make one at present but if they got enough interest they would start to produce the bushes. They said 100 would be the minium for a run.

So if you want to post below and if enough of you are interested I'll pass it on to Polybush.

The only reason I'm doing this is because I have had to change one of said bushes on my Disco and would like not to have to employ a 10ton press to change the other one when it goes (as I don't have one).

Yes, I have a rattle on my Watts Linkage (not sure which bush yet, but if I take it apart I may as well do the lot while I'm in there), and will be doing the job this year (before the MOT) - if a Polybush one was available at a decent price, I will go for one.

Judging by recent threads, if Polybush did a Watts Linkage Service Kit for the D2, with all 5 bushes, costed aound £50, they would sell a load!!!

Thank you Martin.

You would only get 4 bushes as the centre one that goes on the the axle is actualy a bearing.

Like I said above I've already changed one and will no doubt need to change the rest in the near future so if I can get enough interest I can hopefully push Polybush into making them and saving us time and money.

If they were to start making them I would just buy the full kit and do the whole car then no need to worry in the future.

Just been under the car. It's the one at the bottom of the centre pivot that's failed. I can actually move it just with my hand...with a bit of leverage it has around 2mm or play in it.

I guess to replace this one alone, I will still need to take the central pivot off completely to press out the old failed bush...

Can it be cut out in situ I wonder? At least then I can (possibly) get a new polybush one in for a short-term fix...?

I have all the tools except a 21mm open-ended spanner, so just ordered one off the 'bay.
