Water storage and purification?

Me Again!!!! Can i ask for a expedition how much water and were and how do people store there water on the landys? And what do you use to purify the water?

4 black jerry cans(EX MOD) inside rear of vehicle, sometimes one on roof rack if I want hot water for shower Nature pure fiter system from General ecology cost about £100 a few years back just used for purifying for drinking not all the water in cans . Most places you can get from potable supply , but I only trust in main 1st world countries . but even then you can get caught out . I use milton to purify the cans now and again. Carry tablets for emergency purification HTSH

p.s. thats for two adults and 1 child in hot climate I also carry satphone if you dont then another j/can or two if desert travel

Of course the not-recommended way to do it is to take as many bottles of mineral water that you can (and 24 bottles of Lucozade, for the long days) and then buy god waful spralking mineral water when you start to run out of the decent stuff.
