Ive just fitted a new water pump to the range rover classic V8.. I have use the standard gasket and also used the blue high temp silicone based gasket glue on both sides.. But I have sheared the head off one of the bolts.. will I have to take it all off and have it drilled and tapped or should it be ok with all the other bolts intact?

This is the bolt I have sheared

nope, strip it down and attach a pair of mole grips on the stud, now put the kettle on, not for a drink silly, pour the boiling water over the bolt, wiggle it and gently tease it out. if you cant get a grip on it, drill and tap it, put in another bolt and lock it down with two nuts, use boiling water again and tease it out!

remember if you leave it and it over heats you will end up having to get a new engine in it!!!

Ive tried getting the bold out, tried everything, last thing i tried was bolt extraction bits in the drill but didnt work, not the drill has F***ED the hole well and truely.. Is there anything else that can be done or is it a strip engine job and replace it?
