Hi All,
I have a 98 3.9ltr V8i Discovery Automatic, now she has got 156,000 miles on the clock and I highly suspect the head gaskets have gone because I have to top up with antifreeze every morning.
I am used to this my problem is now that its raining and when im trying to top up with antifreeze the electrics (coil, dizzy cap, leeds battery) are all getting wet and this is going to cause me problems with starting the engine (as I almost discovered this morning).
So I need to waterproof the engine.
Any idea's on how to waterproof the electrics, im not sure about covering the coil in a plastic bag as the heat from the engine would just melt it, so if any off roaders out there could give me some ideas it would be great.
Thanks
John
